I am a new user of the Google Docs addon. It seems a great feature as it joints latex with collaboration.
I am also a researcher with frequent submissions to Elsevier journals and I would really make use of elsarticle document class.
\documentclass[preprint,review,12pt,authoryear]{elsarticle}
As I have checked, you don’t have it currently available, but it comes with latex extra package.
As you may know, Elsevier has an incredible amount of published journals.
