One motivation for using something like Docx2LaTeX is the ability to use the Google commenting system in Google docs. Google doc comments added to the rendered or un/de-rendered tex code are lost. I don’t know how feasible it is but preserving these comments is desirable…
By comments, do you mean LaTeX comments written using % symbol?
Hey, no, I’m referring to the comments supported by Google docs by highlighting a word and clicking on the bubble with a + in it on the right hand side of the page.
It seems little difficult to implement but if we find some way around it, we will roll out it our next update.
